PURPOSE OF POSITION
Check subordinates drawing/sketches for consistency to in house CAD procedures and in accordance with Cleint standard, plan and monitor the deliverable to meet the schedule , advise lead engineer of work load and status update, ensure CAD standards and procedures are adhered to, archive completed projects, ensure latest CAD software updates (AutoCAD/Solidworks) are incorporated into released drawings/sketches.
Have experience using Microstation software for drawing preparation

• Line Reporting to: Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager
• Functional Reporting to: Managing Director – KL

SPECIAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB
9 to 15+ years previous CAD (AutoCAD/Solidworks) experience, capable of mentoring the team, organised, team builder. Experience in Mircrosttaion is required

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Compliance with the COMPANY Management Systems: No major non-performances arising from project execution processes.
Performance of CAD work: Perform all CAD works according to the project requirements and specifications.
Support engineering staff in a technical capacity.
Designs/drawings are timely, accurate;y submitted.
Communication & Team Work: Liaise and participate as necessary with project team to achieve project objectives.
Sign drawings involving direct input as the developer of the documents, in accordance with company procedures and processes.
